Carmel`s in Dayton

Was visiting a dear friend at hospice and stopped there for dinner on the way home. Old hang out from 25 years ago so it was nostalgic. Food was great, better than I remembered. Good service too! Thanks Alex!

Great outside atmosphere and good food

Lived in the area 20 years and finally tried this place. Waitress dark haired lady WAS WONDERFUL ! We all ate something different and it was excellent. Grill has the neighborhood feel which we all liked.

The food is ALWAYS good and that's EVERYTHING on the menu great atmosphere and staff like going home

I really like the out of the way places. This is one of those secluded places that makes you feel good. The wait was not bad. The atmosphere was fun. The music wasn't so loud that you have to scream at the person next to you. Everyone was smiling and enjoying themselves. I definitely recommend this place for a nice get away from it all. The food is great!!!! The staff has awesome customer skills. I gave this place 3 stars and that was for a carry out order. I will definitely be going back for a longer visit.

Great time! This place is a regular for my son...and the waiter treated him as such- remembering his favorites and special requests. It's apparent this is a special place for good food and drinks

Great food at a great price. Not you normal restaurant. More a friendly neighborhood hangout. Good cocktails and good food.

Nice strong Margaritas here! Despite having a Mexican style overall here, the burgers and sliders are a feature and are really great! They have a very nice patio. Our server was fast, fun and friendly.

Spent 3 hours on the patio having a great time. Margaritas and appitizers. Yum! Server was attentive but didn't rush us. Would recommend.

The wings and hot onion rings were delicious.Food aside, the gentleman who took my order and gave me my food outside was extremely kind and accomadating. If the entire wait staff have the same attitude as that young man then this place is a gem. Will definitely be back for some late night wings soon.

Good burgers. Burgers come with lettuce onion tomato and fries. Tortilla chips appetizer free. Great service. Not warm enough in restaurant. Kept coat on the whole time. Clean restroom.

Great peach margaritas and buffalo chicken potato skins!! Nice outdoor patio to kick back and relax as well. Still a hidden gem in Dayton

Best wings in dayton

Locally owned Mexican restaurant & bar that's been around for years serving good food and drinks. Staff is very friendly, even to 1st timers ! Good portions on the enchiladas and quesadilla. Margaritas are OK, not outstanding for my taste.

A Dayton staple. Great food, great drinks. Margarita's are amazing and the queso is worth coming alone. Watch out for the green salsa, it's spicy

Love it and visit at least once a week. Patio is great when the weather is nice, the staff are all great and super friendly. Fairly inexpensive too

My 1st time here. Server was excellent. Food was delicious. Margaritas were fabulous!!! Definitely on my list of go to restaurants. Highly recommend.

I visit here to meet with a friend of mine. We always go here, and I go here for him... NOT for the quality of food. The service is great. I've never had a bad waiter/waitress here. What is sub-par is the basic food. For a restaurant geared obviously toward Latin fare, a person would expect to get the salsa and chips right, but nope. They have their moments like the quesadilla, tacos, and queso. But, here's another thing... just because you're a Mexican restaurant doesn't give you a pass to have a restroom that looks like it's one level up from a bomb-raided rural town in Syria. Management, you're obviously making money. Try having some pride and reinvest in your building by giving the guest a decent experience in the bathroom for goodness sake. Oh, and lower the music volume... I like to hear my friend talking.

This establishment needs some work , staff needs proper training . Being local I often drive right past it to go elsewhere.

It is located next to bicycle trail with ample parking and a bike rack. Food was flavorful and nacho chips were still warm. Waitress was friendly but had too many tables to cover, resulting in slow response for paying the bill. Will come back every time I cycle in Dayton.

Came here with my family. A few of us have allergies. The manager was helpful with explaining the menu before giving us a table to be sure that there was something we could eat. Once we were seated we were introduced to our incredible server. Breana was so attentive and willing to ensure that our food was safe to eat (allergies). Our food was amazing and there were still plenty of options even with their limited menu during Covid. I can't want to visit when they are back to 100%.

One of my favorite places to watch a game. Great food, drinks priced well, quality staff. I recommend their original breaded chicken wings.

Nice server, stretched too thin leading to very slow service even though we beat the dinner rush. She very nicely split the kids sundae for us. My food sat under the warming light a little too long, crunchy dried out rice. Salsa was very good.

Still a Gem of Dayton....the definition of a neighborhood restaurant with great food, great drinks, great people, & great atmosphere. Bike path access, walking distance from Oakwood, Kettering, AND Dayton...the location is right where all 3 cities join. Looking forward to getting back on the patio!

This place is always a goto destination for my and my fellow coworkers after a hard weeks work on Fridays and for daily lunch specials. The staff is awesome and we can count on everything being fun and friendly.

Good food, good prices, decent atmosphere. The customer service was friendly, if not well timed, mean6they weren't real busy but we didn't see our waitress for 20 minutes at a time. The shrimp fajitas were fantastic, and the hot sauce is unique, different from other local restaurants, but delicious!

Very pleasant out on the patio. Waitress was good. Started to give a 4 star but after starting to write I realized that I was rating too low.

Lunch specials are GREAT! Very welcoming and fun place for a meal or a few drinks with the crew. They have some really great original recipe home made food.

Brittany was our server & seriously one of THE BEST servers I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. She did an AMAZING job & was beyond personable & friendly. Definitely ask to sit in her section!

Beer Can Chicken and the Sirloin & Mashed Potato Chimichanga are two of my favorites. Carmel's is one of Dayton's best kept secrets!

My Family Quickly Made it a tradition to come every Monday for taco night... Both there beef and chicken tacos are great! We Always receive the same waiter, (The Younger Guy) Wish I had his name ... Anyways his service is grade A, personal and genuine, and even remembers everyone’s drinks choice.. anyways.. tonight the Card System was down and it was overwhelmingly packed on top of it, and he never cracked a sweat and even cut limes for one of our drink requests in the kitchen.. even with a slight panic in others energy.. Great Bar and great food with great service!

Great place to sit and have a drink. Love the chicken tenders. Right by the bike path so you burn some calories then blow them all on some margaritas.

I love this place! I have made a lot of great friends here. I love how diverse it is! The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. My favorite menu items are the black & blue grilled chicken salad, and the burralada which is a wet burrito with sirloin tips, refried pinto beans, cheese, onions and a very rich wine reduced beef gravy garnished with lettuce, tomato and a must have is a side of sour cream to compliment it! The staff is great as well, really look forward to seeing them all!
